Jennifer Campbell-Horne CSI, Principal

Jennifer received her B.S. Degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1997. She worked for the City of Cambridge as an intern with the Supervisor of Public Construction. She assisted with various construction projects, held weekly construction meetings and assembled specifications.

|
Jennifer began working at John D. Bruce and Associates during 1995 and became the owner of the firm in January 2001 and renamed the company JCH Consulting, Inc. She has attended roof consulting courses with the professional organization, The Roof Consultants Institute and the Building Products University at Firestone Building Products in Indianapolis and conferences of various manufacturers as well as different courses offered at Build Boston, Roofing Expos and various institutions and associations.

Jennifer has worked on reconstruction and historic restoration of all types of brick and stone masonry construction as well as concrete and the stone and brick veneers of newer buildings. She has worked on many different roofing projects from EPDM to copper and terra cotta tile. Projects have ranged in cost from under $50,000 to over $5,000,000.

A project of hers, exterior restoration of the Cambridge Cemetery Administration Building, won a Preservation Award from the Cambridge Historical Commission in 1998.

Jennifer is currently the consultant and specifier to The Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard Medical School, All Saints Episcopal Church of Belmont and Rhode Island Hospital.

Her associations with owners, contractors, engineers and architects allows her to evaluate a project from a comprehensive viewpoint with regard to budget, alternative methods, costs and time schedule of a project.

John D. Bruce, Consultant

|
Mr. Bruce received his B.S. Degree from Boston University in 1955. He has been continuously active in both the contracting and consulting phases of the construction business since that time. He was then employed by the family roofing contracting business, The Harvey Douglas Company, Brockton, MA as supervisor, estimator, and manager. In 1979 he formed an independent consulting firm dealing generally with exterior envelope problems of schools, universities, churches, hospitals, libraries and other institutional organizations. He then turned the company over to be less involved in the business end of the company and is now a consultant to the new company.

His consulting specialty is repair, reconstruction or restoration of the roof and exterior envelope of existing buildings, with particular emphasis on copper, lead, slate and tile roofing as well as conventional bitumen built-up, single ply membranes and asphalt shingles.

|

Mr. Bruce was the Consultant to The Duxbury and Rockland School Departments for roofing and exterior envelope. He has been Specifier for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts School Building Authority for re-roofing and masonry repairs or restoration for buildings at Fitchburg State College, and Bridgewater State College. In addition, Mr. Bruce has served as Consultant and Specifier for work for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, Long Island Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, McLean Hospital, Harvard University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
